Access Dade County Circuit Clerk Records

Dade County Circuit Clerk records are the main local route for Circuit Court case files, certified copies, court costs, and traffic case lookup in Dade County, Missouri. A Dade County Circuit Clerk records search may start online through the state court system, but copy requests, restricted family documents, probate paperwork, and payment questions often still require the clerk's office. Court case files are separate from recorder records, sheriff records, and state driver or vital-record files.

Dade County Circuit Clerk Contact

The Dade County Circuit Clerk is Kayla Getman. The official county page lists Deputy Clerks Erin Orr and Cami Hoff, placing the court-record office inside the Dade County Courthouse in Greenfield. This office is the working point for local Circuit Court case records in the 28th Judicial Circuit, including civil, criminal, domestic, probate, protection order, small claims, traffic, and copy-request tasks. The clerk page also gives practical limits: email attachments are not valid filing, and the court cannot give legal advice.

The county's official directory uses the same courthouse address for county government offices. For court records, use the Circuit Clerk rather than the County Clerk unless the question is about county administration. For marriage licenses, land records, and recorded instruments, use the Recorder of Deeds instead.

Dade County Circuit Clerk Case Search

Dade County does not publish a separate county-built case search portal in the research file. The official local route is Missouri Case.net, with the 28th Judicial Circuit selected when narrowing a Dade County case search. The Circuit Clerk's traffic instructions are unusually specific: select the 28th Judicial Circuit, enter the name exactly as it appears on the ticket under litigant name, click Find, open the case number, and look for Plead and Pay when that option appears.

The Missouri State Public Defender Case.net guidance also explains court-date searches by case number or litigant name and the Track This Case feature. Track This Case can send reminders, but MSPD warns that those reminders are not official court notices. Anyone with a live Dade County court matter should still rely on the court's orders, notices, and clerk confirmation.

  1. Open Missouri Case.net from the state court system.
  2. Select 28th Judicial Circuit when the search form asks where to search.
  3. Use the litigant name as shown on the ticket or court papers, or use the case number if known.
  4. Open the case number result to view public docket information.
  5. Use Plead and Pay only if it appears and the case is eligible.

The MSPD Case.net help page illustrates how court-date searches and Track This Case work in Missouri.

That state-level help matters in Dade County because the local clerk sends users to the Missouri court portal rather than a county-only case database.

Note: If a Dade County traffic case cannot be located, the Circuit Clerk page gives 417-637-2741 for payment and traffic questions.

Dade County Court Copy Requests

Dade County copy requests use the Circuit Clerk's Request for Record/Copy form and the local copy-request email published in the research file. Requests may be mailed to Dade County Circuit Clerk, 300 W. Water St., Greenfield, MO 65661. The clerk contacts the requester by phone with payment instructions. Domestic and family document requests may require a copy of photo ID, and the research file says copies are sent about 5 business days after receipt.

The form is designed to help the clerk locate the right court file before collecting payment. A complete request should identify the parties, case type, case number if known, hearing or case date if known, judge or courtroom if known, and the exact documents wanted. The form also lets the requester choose non-certified copy, certified copy, CD, or transcript where available.

Dade County Circuit Clerk Fees

The Dade County copy fee schedule in the research file is effective July 18, 2025. Certified copies cost more because the clerk must certify the document for official use. Dade County Clerk Payments

The Circuit Clerk publishes several payment channels. Dade County court payments can be made by phone, mail, web, or in person when the case and payment type allow it. Accepted forms listed in the research file are cash, check, cashier's check, money order, debit card, and credit card. Mail payments are payable to Dade County Circuit Clerk at 300 W. Water, Greenfield, MO 65661.

Phone payments use 417-637-2741 during weekday business hours. The listed card brands are American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa. A third-party convenience fee applies and is not retained by the clerk. Phone card payments must use a card in the defendant's name. Web payments route through the State of Missouri Judicial Payments System, and higher third-party convenience fees may apply.

Payment note: A payment channel does not mean a case can be resolved without court. Check the case status, court date, and Plead and Pay eligibility before assuming payment is enough.

Dade County Recorder Is Separate

The Dade County Circuit Clerk is not the same office as the Recorder of Deeds. The Dade County Recorder of Deeds, Carolyn Kile, handles marriage licenses and recorded instruments rather than circuit-court case files. The Recorder page gives a marriage license fee of $51.00, certified marriage license copies at $9.00, and general recorder copies at $1.00 per page.

The Recorder also offers iCounty access for indexed recorder records and images. The Dade County iCounty login is for recorder records, not Circuit Court cases. The iCounty registration page shows account fields and an agreement process for users who need that separate recorder system.

The Dade Recorder iCounty login shows the separate online entry point for recorder records and subscription or copy pricing.

Use iCounty for recorder-indexed material, not for civil, criminal, domestic, probate, or traffic court case files.

The iCounty registration screen documents the account setup path for Dade County recorder users.

That distinction prevents a common records error: looking in the recorder system for a court judgment, divorce decree, or criminal case document held by the Circuit Clerk.

What the Clerk Cannot Do

The Dade County Circuit Clerk can receive filings, maintain court records, collect costs and fees, process copy requests, and point users to forms or state court systems. The clerk cannot act as a lawyer, choose documents for a party, decide what legal step should be taken, or make email attachments valid filings when local rules or the official page say otherwise. The court also cannot turn a public search result into legal advice.

  • The clerk can help locate public case information, but cannot guarantee that a court outcome is favorable.
  • The clerk can issue certified copies from court files, but cannot certify recorder or vital-record documents held elsewhere.
  • The clerk can explain payment channels, but cannot remove a charge, warrant, or court setting without judicial action.
  • The clerk can receive a copy request, but restricted records may require ID, court approval, or redaction.

For full case-file research beyond copy requests, Dade County court records are tied to Dade County court records and the 28th Judicial Circuit workflow.
